Everton, AR

Everton is a small town located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 1,851 at the 2010 census. Everton is home to several businesses and industries, including a tire manufacturing plant and a poultry processing plant. The town's economy is largely based on agriculture and real estate.

The land that Everton sits on was first settled in the early 1800s. The town was founded in 1881 by J.D. Everton and his brother-in-law, W.H. Bowersock. At the time of its founding, Everton consisted of just a few buildings: a general store, a hotel, and a post office. In 1884, the town's first school was built; it would eventually grow to include four schools (two elementary schools and two high schools).

In recent years, Everton has seen an influx of new residents due to its proximity to Little Rock and other major cities in Arkansas. The town has undergone several renovations to accommodate this growth; most notably, the construction of new businesses (such as restaurants) and residences (including condominiums). Despite these changes, Everton retains its small-town feel; it is still easy to find someone you know when walking around town.
