Miami Gardens, FL

Miami Gardens is a city located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The population was 84,816 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Miami metropolitan area.

The city was founded in 1926 and named for its founder, Judge James E. Moore. The city was originally part of Dade County but became a separate municipality in 1951. It annexed portions of unincorporated Miami-Dade County from 1955 to 1957 and from 1966 to 1968.
