Warren, IN

Warren is a city in Warren County, Indiana, United States. The population was 21,812 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Warren County.

Warren was founded in 1825 and named for General Joseph Warren of the American Revolutionary War. The city's economy has been based on manufacturing and agriculture until recent years when it has become more diversified with businesses such as health care and technology. Manufacturing now makes up only about one-third of the city's economy, while services make up most of it.

The city is home to several large companies including Cummins Inc., Eli Lilly and Company, 3M Corporation, BorgWarner Inc., Honeywell International Inc., and Whirlpool Corporation. These companies have helped to drive economic growth in Warren over the past several decades. However, despite these successes there are still areas of need in the city that need to be addressed such as poverty and unemployment rates that are above average for Indiana cities of its size.
