Bonner Springs, KS

Bonner Springs is a small town in Johnson County, Kansas, located about 25 miles northeast of the city of Wichita. The population was 10,814 at the 2010 census. Bonner Springs is home to the world's largest collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia.

The first settlers arrived in what is now Bonner Springs in 1872. The town was named for Dr. J.W. Bonner, a doctor who settled in the area and served as its first postmaster. A railroad was built through Bonner Springs in 1887, and it became an important stop on the line between Wichita and Topeka. The town began to grow rapidly after that, and by 1910 it had a population of 1,500 people.

Today, Bonner Springs is a thriving community with many businesses and attractions nearby. The main economic drivers are healthcare services (including hospitals), retail trade (including stores selling Elvis Presley memorabilia), and agriculture (particularly cattle). There are also several educational institutions located in Bonner Springs, including two colleges ( Johnson County Community College and Washburn University).
