Carrollton, MO

The city of Carrollton is located in the northwest corner of the state of Missouri. The population was 20,898 at the 2010 census. The city is a part of the St. Louis metropolitan area and is adjacent to Ferguson, MO.

Carrollton has been a center for manufacturing since the early days of the Industrial Revolution. Today, the city's economy is based on health care, education, and business services. However, due to its location and history as a manufacturing center, Carrollton also has a strong industrial base that supports many businesses in related industries. These include aerospace engineering and technology companies; automotive parts suppliers; printing and publishing companies; food processing plants; medical equipment manufacturers; and chemical manufacturers.

The real estate market in Carrollton is highly competitive with limited inventory available for purchase or lease. This has resulted in prices for homes being well above average compared to other areas of Missouri. In addition, due to Carrollton's proximity to Ferguson (just over 10 miles away), buyers are often subject to higher home prices in that area as well.
