West Long Branch is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 10,851,[7][8] reflecting an increase of 1,564 (+27.4%) from the 7,914 counted in the 2000 Census.[9]

The borough was formed on March 17, 1894,[10] from portions of Freehold Township and Howell Township.[11][12] The borough is named for West Long Branch (now part of Neptune City), a town in Monmouth County that was located within its boundaries until 1894.[13][14]

West Long Branch is located at (40.626904,-74.544853).[15] According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.7 km2), all land.[16]

As of the census[17] of 2010, there were 10,851 people residing in the borough; 49% were White non-Hispanic residents and 51% were Hispanic or Latino residents. There were 592 households out of which 33% had children under the age of 18 living with them and 54% were married couples living together; 8% had a female householder with no husband present and 26% had a male householder with no wife present. In terms of family size: 34% had two children under 18 living with them; 41% had three children under 18 living with them; 21% had four children under 18 living with them; and 9% had five or more children under 18 living with them.
