Taos Ski Valley, NM

Taos Ski Valley is a world-renowned ski resort located in Taos County, New Mexico. The resort has an impressive 1,000 acres of skiable terrain and hosts over 100 events each season. The ski area is also home to the Taos Ski Valley School of Snowboarding, which offers instruction to both beginner and advanced skiers and snowboarders.

The ski area has a long history dating back to the 1930s when it was known as the Taos Ski Club. In 1976, the ski area became a part of the United States Olympic Committee and was renamed Taos Ski Valley Resort. In 1998, the resort underwent a $40 million renovation that included new lifts, runs and facilities. The renovation was completed in time for the 1998-99 winter season.

Today, Taos Ski Valley is one of New Mexico's most popular tourist destinations with visitors coming from all over the country to enjoy its beautiful scenery and world-class skiing and snowboarding opportunities. The ski area is well known for its challenging slopes that are perfect for experienced skiers and snowboarders alike. There are also plenty of beginner trails available for those new to skiing or snowboarding.

Taos Ski Valley is open from December through March each year with regular daily operations beginning at 9am sharp. Prices for adult tickets range from $39-$69 per day while children ages 3-12 years old can enjoy skiing or snowboarding for just $19 per day (plus applicable taxes). Parking fees at the resort are also very reasonable with rates starting at just $8 per car during peak season (December through March).
