Centrahoma, OK

Centrahoma is a small town located in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. The population was 2,914 at the 2010 census. Centrahoma is home to the Centrahoma State Fairgrounds and the Centrahoma Municipal Airport.

The Centrahoma area was first settled in 1872 by John and Martha Moore. The town was named for General Thomas C. Hindman, who fought in the American Civil War on the Confederate side. Hindman was killed in action at the Battle of Franklin in 1864.

Centrahoma is located on U.S Highway 66, which runs north-south through Oklahoma. Interstate 44 passes just to the east of Centrahoma, and U.S Highway 169 passes just to the west of Centrahoma. The nearest major city is Tulsa, which is about 20 miles south of Centrahoma on I-44.
