Huntington, OR

Huntington is a city located in the northwestern corner of Oregon. The population was 27,898 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Clackamas County and home to Oregon State University.

Huntington was founded in 1846 by Joseph Ladd and named after John Huntington, an early fur trader in the region. The city's early economy was based on logging and agriculture, but it has since developed into a major metropolitan area with a diversified economy. Today, Huntington is known for its high-quality education and its many recreational opportunities, including skiing at Mount Hood National Forest, fishing at Sandy River Reservoir, golfing at nearby Eagle Point Golf Club, and hiking and biking on nearby trails.

Real estate in Huntington is highly sought after due to its close proximity to both Portland and Eugene (just over an hour away), as well as its many amenities.
