Eagle Rock is a small town located in Loudoun County, Virginia. The population of Eagle Rock was 9,824 as of the 2010 census. It is bordered by Ashburn to the north, Reston to the east, Herndon to the south and Centreville to the west.

The town's history can be traced back to 1727 when a group of Virginian pioneers established a small settlement on what is now known as "The Hill". The name " Eagle Rock" was first given to this hill by one of these early settlers who saw an eagle perched atop it. In 1851, Eagle Rock became incorporated as a town and in 1892 it became an independent city.

Today, Eagle Rock is home to many businesses and organizations including two hospitals (Loudoun Hospital Center and Reston Hospital Center), two schools (Eagle Ridge Elementary School and Loudoun Valley High School), two churches (First Baptist Church and Christ Episcopal Church), several restaurants and cafes, a bank (U.S. Bank) and numerous other businesses.
